Here are 10 interesting stats that will make you want to draft any of these Top 10 Players:
1. Le'Veon Bell
Fact: The Steelers are the only team who has had a top 5 fantasy RB in each of the last four seasons.
Analysis: The Steelers are known for relying on a single bell-cow RB every season and that bodes well for the workload of Bell. Given his generational talent, he is a lock to finish top 5 fantasy RB.
2. Todd Gurley
Fact: Gurley had more than double the amount of TDs and total yards than any WR or RB on the Rams in 2017.
Analysis: Gurley has become the center of the Rams high scoring offense. Despite an increase in playmakers at the WR position, expect Gurley to continue to dominate the offensive touches this upcoming season.
3. David Johnson
Fact: No other RB in the last 11 years has averaged more than DJ’s 21.6 fantasy PPG (2016) in a single season.
Analysis: The last season in which DJ was on the field, he was unbelievably efficient and he stands to benefit even more with Bradford/Rosen now at QB. He will continue to be one of the best duel threat RBs in the NFL.
4. Antonio Brown
Fact: Brown has finished as a top 2 WR in every year since 2014. He is the only WR to finish even as a top 5 WR every year in that period of time.
Analysis: No WR has even come close to the elite consistency AB has displayed since becoming the primary WR in the Steelers offense. He will be the first WR off the board in every league and rightfully so.
5. Ezekiel Elliott
Fact: Zeke is the only RB who has averaged over 18 PPG in each of the last two seasons.
Analysis: With the shakeups to the Cowboys offense this offseason, expect Zeke to get more usage than both of his other two seasons. He has proven that he should be considered an elite RB after his first two seasons.
6. Deandre Hopkins
Fact: Nuk is the only WR in the top 10 who got at least 7 points every game last season.
Analysis: While 7 points may not seem like a lot, the consistency displayed by Hopkins last season was one that no other WR was able to do. Knowing that you have a WR who will put up solid fantasy points every week of the season is a valuable asset that is hard to come by.
7. Alvin Kamara
Fact: Kamara finished with the most fantasy points among RBs in PPR formats per touch at 1.59.
Analysis: Despite only starting 3 games last season and getting 201 touches, he managed to be a top 5 fantasy RB. With Ingram serving a 4 game suspension, it is likely that Kamara could top 275 touches this season. That would give him 437 fantasy points if he kept his 1.59 PPT.
8. Odell Beckham Jr.
Fact: OBJ has averaged 14.3 PPG so far throughout his career. That is higher than Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, and Deandre Hopkins over their careers.
Analysis: After missing most of last season, OBJ seems primed to come back strong this season. He will be the lead target for Eli Manning this year and he will be playing hard given he is in a contract year this year.
9. Leonard Fournette
Fact: Fournette was the first Jaguars RB to top 1000 rushing yards since MJD did it in 2011.
Analysis: The Jags have been looking for a franchise RB for years since MJD retired. They finally found that with Fournette and he will build on his rookie year numbers this season with a strong sophomore year.
10. LeSean McCoy
Fact: McCoy has averaged 4 YPC or better in each of his 9 NFL seasons.
Analysis: McCoy has been producing great numbers his whole career. With the inexperience at whoever starts for the Bills, look for McCoy to be relied on heavily this season.
