Greener's Favorite Players Rounds 6-10

Fantasy drafts are approaching quickly for many of us. While some people may just go in thinking they know fantasy football, it will always be the people who do research and have a mental plan in place who will come out with the best team. It is smart to have targets for each round so you know who to pick when time is running out on the clock. Also, be sure to check out expert Eric Olaya's favorite players in each round. That being said, here is a list of players you should target in each round of your draft (12 person, Standard Scoring):

Round 6: Will Fuller

ADP: 6.02

Analysis: Will Fuller has been a fantasy liability in years past due to a history of injuries. While those injuries are still a concern, getting Fuller in the 6th round lessens some of the risk. Fuller has also recognized that staying healthy was a problem and he apparently added about 15 to 20 pounds without losing his speed. In addition to that, the four weeks that Will Fuller played with Deshaun Watson last season he scored seven touchdowns and averaged about 17.7 PPG. While that average is unlikely to continue when playing a full season, he is still absolutely unstoppable when paired with Watson.

Round 7: Jaguars Defense

ADP: 8.07

Analysis: Although their ADP has them going in the eighth round, there is no defense that should be valued as high as the Jaguars Defense. It may be necessary to take them a little bit earlier than their ADP. While some people may disagree with taking a defense this early in the draft, there was only nine players that were not QBs that scored more points than the Jags D last season. They also kept almost all of their starters while adding even more depth through the draft. This pick may be unpopular, but you will be the one laughing at your league when your defense wins you those close games in crucial points in the season.

Round 8: Andrew Luck

ADP: 8.08

Analysis: It’s about time. Andrew Luck is finally back at practice and he is doing well. Every report says he looks just as good as the Luck that fantasy owners remember before the injury. Before his injury, Luck was a top five fantasy QB. With a new head coach and a much improved offensive line, Luck has everything that he needs to be successful. He is currently being taken as the 9th QB and his potential is probably higher than any QB not named Aaron Rodgers. This is the type of pick that can change an entire fantasy season.

Round 9: Chris Carson

ADP: 9.04

Analysis: After the 2018 NFL Draft, I was quick to jump on the Rashaad Penny hype train. Taking a running back in the first round typically leads to immediate starting role. However, two Seahawks reporters have now stated that Chris Carson is the best RB in Seahawks camp and he is the favorite to have the starting role. He has also been praised for his ability to excel on all three downs. In 2017, he did well in his four games averaging about eight fantasy PPG. Getting a starting RB in the 9th round is almost unheard of. If Carson makes it this far in your draft, he is a must draft.

Round 10: George Kittle

ADP: 10.09

Analysis: After waiting a long time before taking a TE, George Kittle presents great value at the 10th round. Being the 12th TE off the board, Kittle could be a steal this year when Jimmy G makes him the safety valve. Kittle had 3 of his 4 best fantasy weeks of the season last year once Garoppolo took over. In 2017, the difference between the 6th best and 12th best TE was 21.5 points. So despite getting Kittle about 4 rounds than the 6th best TE (Evan Engram), the difference in fantasy PPG would be less than 1.5 PPG. After Kittle, there is a significant drop off in the talent level of the remaining tight ends.
