Hail Mary: Week 4
Hail Mary is a play that most people won't even attempt. It is one of those last resort efforts to win. With this article, we would like to point out 4 players in which we expect to be x-factor players. Players that can do great any given week even if it’s just because of one play. These players are also each started in under 15% of leagues according to NFL.com. Here are the four big time players that could could make a difference maker in your lineup this week:
RBs:
Aaron Jones:
Start Percentage: 4.5%
Matchup: Buffalo Bills
Analysis: Aaron Jones had a good debut to the season averaging seven yards per carry despite not getting a full workload. He definitely has shown why many people thought he was the best RB the Packers had last season. Given the success he had last week, it would not be surprising to see McCarthy give Jones a bigger workload this Sunday as he tends to play “the hot hand” more than most coaches. Expect the Packers to be leading and for Jones to get over 80 total yards and a TD.
Marlon Mack:
Start Percentage: 14.1%
Matchup: Houston Texans
Analysis: While Mack has been a general disappoint for fantasy owners till now, it seems he is finally starting to get healthy again. He is listed as questionable by the Colts, but it is considered more likely than not that he will play this week. During Mack’s little playing time this season, he was good when given the opportunity to touch the ball. Mack may not have extreme upside given the Colts employing a RBBC approach, but Mack should get the starting role and most touches if he can prove that he is healthy enough to get back out there. Expect 50 yards rushing and another 40 receiving as the Colts try to utilize him coming out of the backfield.
WRs:
Antonio Callaway:
Start Percentage: 1.3%
Matchup: Oakland Raiders
Analysis: Callaway has shown flashes so far of this season of why he can be great. Unfortunately, those flashes were also met with inconsistency. With Baker Mayfield at the helm and a beatable Raiders defense, this could be a great chance for Callaway to show what he can do. He received 10 targets last week which means the Browns are clearly willing to use him. Expect over 100 yards this week for Callaway.
Sterling Shepard:
Start Percentage: 10.2%
Matchup: New Orleans Saints
Analysis: The Saints defense has been abused each week by opposing offenses through the air. While the Giants offense is not the fiercest in the league, they should have more success than usual. Shepard finally produced good fantasy numbers for the first time all season last week. With Evan Engram down for at least a couple of weeks, the door is open for more targets to Shepard and OBJ. They both should have great weeks this week. Expect 60 yards and a touchdown from Shepard as Eli tries to keep up with the Saints’ offense.
