Hail Mary: Week 12
Hail Mary is a play that most people won't even attempt. It is one of those last resort efforts to win. With this article, we would like to point out 4 players in which we expect to be x-factor players. Players that can do great any given week even if it’s just because of one play. These players are also each started in under 20% of leagues according to NFL.com. Here are the four big time players that could make a difference maker in your lineup this week:
RBs:
Gus Edwards:
Start Percentage: 16.3%
Matchup: Oakland Raiders
Analysis: Gus Edwards was one of the best pickups of last week. With Lamar Jackson taking over the starting QB role last week, Edwards received a huge increase in workload and he took advantage of his opportunities. He ran for 115 yards on only 17 carries. With Collins still banged up, expect the Ravens to rely heavily on Gus Edwards again this week. He should finish this week with at least 75 rushing yards again this week.
Rashaad Penny:
Start Percentage: 2.2%
Matchup: Carolina Panthers
Analysis: Rashaad Penny has not completely lived up to the hype of his first round draft selection so far, but he has shown flashes of potential. Although he lost some snaps with the return of Chris Carson, he still remains a key part to the Seahawks future. Expect him to get 50 yards and a touchdown this week.
WRs:
D.J. Moore:
Start Percentage: 17.7%
Matchup: Seattle Seahawks
Analysis: Moore exploded last week with the best game of his young career. He finished with 157 yards and a touchdown. He is one of the most talented playmakers the Panthers have. With Devin Funchess already listed as doubtful, Moore will be the number one receiver for Cam Newton this week. Expect him to get over 100 total yards this week.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling:
Start Percentage: 2.4%
Matchup: Minnesota Vikings
Analysis: MVS struggled last week for the Packers catching only one pass for eight yards. It was a very rough night for one of the biggest surprises of the Packers’ offense this season. With a division matchup against the Vikings, expect the Packers to play desperate to keep their playoff hopes alive. MVS should be a great option this week and expect him to top 50 yards receiving and a touchdown.
