Early Waiver Wire Favorites - Week 13

Want to get a leg up on your fantasy rivals? Want to find some of those deeper league waiver claims that your league mates would never see coming? Check out our early waiver wire favorites after week 13 Sunday here!

Dante Pettis – WR, San Francisco 49ers

Owned in 2.2% of leagues

Dante Pettis has stepped up in a big way as the 49ers WR corps has dealt with injuries. Over the last 2 weeks, Pettis has caught 9 passes for 206 yards and 3 TD’s, a total of 37 standard fantasy points. Pettis has flown under the radar all year in fantasy as a result of missing weeks 3-9, but he’s emerging as a viable fantasy starter now. He could be a great depth play during your championship push should another WR get hurt.

Jeff Wilson Jr. – RB, San Francisco 49ers

Owned in 0.0% of leagues

Wilson was a nobody before today, but he went out against Seattle and made a name for himself. Wilson Jr. was given 23 touches today and took them for 134 yards from scrimmage, 61 on the ground and 73 through the air. The SF backfield has been somewhat of a revolving door all year long, consisting primarily of Matt Breida but decent doses of Alfred Morris and Raheem Mostert when available. Jeff Wilson Jr. seems to be the next man up in the rotation, and the chance to get what could be a feature back on the waiver wire just before the playoffs is too good to pass up.

Courtland Sutton – WR, Denver Broncos

Owned in 52.6% of leagues

Yes, Sutton is owned in more than half of leagues, but he should be owned in far closer to 100%. Against the Bengals, Sutton notched career highs in targets, catches, and yards, catching 4 passes for 85 yards and 1 TD. Sutton could wind up being a very impactful playoff performer, as the Broncos close the year out against the 49ers (11th most fantasy points allowed to WR’s), the Browns (14th), the Raiders (16th), and the Chargers (24th).

Josh Allen – QB, Buffalo Bills

Owned in 3.7% of leagues

After missing 4 games due to an elbow injury, Allen has stormed back (at least fantasy wise). Over the last 2 games, Allen has thrown for 391 yards and 3 TD’s and ran for 234 yards and 1 TD. He is averaging 26.5 fantasy PPG over the last 2 weeks. Allen’s ability to run gives him a high fantasy floor, making him a solid playoff QB option. Especially if you’ve been relying all year on a QB who may get a rest game if their playoff spot is already clinched by week 16 or 17.

Justin Jackson – RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Owned in 12% of leagues

Justin Jackson took 8 carries for 63 yards and a TD, as well as 1 catch for 19 yards during the SNF win over the Steelers. He looked like a clearly superior RB to backfield teammate Austin Ekeler, who took 13 carries for 21 yards and 5 catches for 21 yards. With the Chargers having a good chance to clinch the 5 seed with a week or two to spare, don’t be surprised to see them leave Gordon out for the remainder of the regular season. If so, Jackson is the RB to own. Not Ekeler.
