Early Waiver Wire Favorites - Week 15
Want to get a leg up on your fantasy rivals? Want to find some of those deeper league waiver claims that your league mates would never see coming? Check out our early waiver wire favorites after week 15 Sunday here!
Elijah McGuire – RB, New York Jets
Owned in 33.4% of leagues
McGuire is making the list for the second week in a row because I seem to have been criminally ignored last week, as McGuire is still available in nearly 70% of leagues. After a 20-touch, 83 yards, 1 TD performance in week 14, Elijah followed it up with a 21-touch, 71 yard, 1 TD performance in week 15. With Crowell on the IR, McGuire has been the workhorse, and getting a starting RB off the waiver wire in week 15 is way too good of an opportunity to pass up.
Kalen Ballage – RB, Miami Dolphins
Owned in 0.5% of leagues
After Frank Gore left the game early due to a foot injury, it seemed that the RB1 duties would fall on the shoulders of Kenyan Drake. However, Ballage received 12 carries on Sunday while Drake only got 1. Ballage took those 12 carries for 123 yards and a TD. If Gore is forced to miss any time, Ballage would likely continue to hold that RB1 role and would be a RB2 candidate going forwad.
Robby Anderson – WR, New York Jets
Owned in 18% of leagues
In 2017, Robby Anderson finished the season in standard scoring as WR17 after scoring 7 TD’s and recording 6 games with 75 or more receiving yards. His production hasn’t been the same all year, as he’s WR59 through 15 weeks. However, Anderson has 11 catches for 172 yards and 2 TD’s over the last 2 weeks, totaling 28 standard fantasy points. He and Darnold seem to have finally found their connection, and this vertical threat is once again a viable fantasy option.
Robert Foster – WR, Buffalo Bills
Owned in 3.3% of leagues
Despite Josh Allen being significantly more successful as a runner than a passer so far in his rookie campaign, Robert Foster has managed to find success in the passing game. He now has 94+ receiving yards in 4 of his last 5 games, as well as 2 TD’s. Over that stretch, he is averaging 10.6 standard fantasy PPG. The yardage has been consistent for Foster, making him a low-end WR2/high-end Flex candidate going forward.
Jamaal Williams – RB, Green Bay Packers
Owned in 11.8% of leagues
During week 15, against the dominant defense of the Chicago Bears, Jamaal Williams found his first double-digit fantasy performance of the season. This was also his first opportunity as the lead back without Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery lurking around. Aaron Jones left the game early with a knee injury, and Williams came in and took 12 carries for 55 yards and a TD as well as 4 catches for 42 yards. The Packers are thin at RB after Williams, so if Jones is forced to miss any time, Williams is a lock for an RB1 workload.
