Hail Mary: Week 17

Hail Mary is a play that most people won't even attempt. It is one of those last resort efforts to win. With this article, we would like to point out 4 players in which we expect to be x-factor players. Players that can do great any given week even if it’s just because of one play. These players are also each started in under 20% of leagues according to NFL.com. Here are the four big time players that could make a difference maker in your lineup this week:

RBs:

T.J. Yeldon:

Start Percentage: 4.9%

Matchup: Houston Texans

Analysis: With Fournette listed as doubtful and Carlos Hyde questionable, T.J. Yeldon could be in line to get a huge boost in carries this week. The Jaguars are not in the playoff hunt so it would not be surprising if they rest some of their veterans. Yeldon should be the primary ball carrier this week for the Jags and it should be expected that he can top 60 total yards and a TD this week.

Brian Hill:

Start Percentage: 0.8%

Matchup: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Analysis: When Tevin Coleman left the game last week, Brian Hill stepped in and excelled. He was able to get 115 yards on only eight carries. Even though Coleman is heading into week 17 without an injury designation, the Falcons have been known to use a committee approach at RB the past couple seasons. With the Falcons no longer being in the playoff race, it would make sense to let a young reserve player like Hill get more touches. Expect Hill to get another 100 yard game this week.

WRs:

Kendrick Bourne:

Start Percentage: 0.5%

Matchup: Los Angeles Rams

Analysis: Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis are both expected to miss the 49ers’ season finale this weekend. That should open up a significant playing time and Kendrick Bourne will be the primary WR for the 49ers this week. Bourne has shown flashes of big play abilities, but this could be his chance to have a truly breakout game. Expect Bourne to get over 80 yards receiving and a TD for the first time in his career.

Mike Williams:

Start Percentage: 16.1%

Matchup: Denver Broncos

Analysis: Mike Williams has been both amazing and disappointing this season. Two weeks ago, Williams got three TDs and was a crucial part of the Chargers beating the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chargers are still fighting for seeding in the playoffs and they will need Williams to perform at a high level for the rest of the season. He has all the talent needed to succeed and this is his moment to shine. Don’t be surprised if Mike Williams steps it up and finishes this week with over 50 yards and a TD.
