2019 Draft Analysis: "Hollywood" Brown to Baltimore
With the #25 overall pick, the Ravens select Oklahoma WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. The cousin of Antonio Brown, Hollywood earned First Team All-Big 10 honors after posting an incredible 17.6 yards per catch mark along with 10 TDs.
Weighing in at 160 pounds, Brown is a ball of speed with the ability to catch a 50+ yard touchdown at any point of the game. Durability and ball skills are obvious concerns, but his athleticism and patience in route-running cause obvious comparisons to Desean Jackson and Tyreek Hill. Brown will fill a huge need for Ravens since their current top receiver is Willie Snead.
Marquise Brown was the first WR taken off the board for good reason. He provides Lamar Jackson with a tremendous deep threat and he is the most talented receiver in Baltimore. Lamar Jackson stands to benefit the most from the addition of Brown. Brown himself could be worth a late flier due to his tremendous upside, but expectations should be tempered due to most rookie wide receivers not being fantasy relevant.
