2019 Draft Analysis: Noah Fant to Denver

With the 20th pick in the draft, the Broncos select Iowa TE Noah Fant. The Fant’s 11 TDs and 16.5 yards per catch led the nation’s tight ends in 2018, earning him First Team All-Big Ten honors.

This true receiving tight end won’t be relied on for his blocking, but rather the mismatches he will create due to the rare triple threat of athleticism, ball skills and size. Fant projects as a combination of 2014 Jimmy Graham and 2018 O.J. Howard when considering his speed, hands and nose for the end zone. He now joins a Broncos team that was in desperate need of a red zone threat.

For as long as Joe Flacco is at the helm in Denver, Noah Fant needs to be owned in all leagues given Flacco's tendency to throw to TEs. Just like his college counterpart T.J. Hockenson, Fant also has the potential to be a top 10 TE in 2019.
